What is the SAT Math Exam?

The SAT Math exam is a standardized test section of the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test), a college admissions exam widely used in the United States. It assesses students' mathematical skills typically learned in high school and is divided into two main segments: a calculator-allowed portion and a no-calculator section. The test covers a variety of mathematical topics, including algebra, problem-solving and data analysis, advanced math, and additional topics in math (such as geometry and basic trigonometry). Questions are presented in multiple-choice and grid-in formats, with the aim of evaluating a student's ability to apply mathematical concepts and solve problems in different contexts.
